Friends of the DC-3 was involved in helping with the restoration of this aircraft when it was with Cherkley Aviation
 in the period of 1989 to 1991.

Allocated to the 9th Air Force, 82nd Airbourne, 313th Troop Carrier Group based at Folkingham UK

Flown in Opertion "Husky" the invasion of Sicily
September 1943
Flown in the Invasion of Mainland Italy
June 1944
Flown in D-Day to drop the 508 Parachute Infantry Regiment at DZ "N" Picauville "Mission Boston"
2nd June 1948
Registered F-BEFA Algerienne De Transports Aeriens
27th March 1950
Transfered to Aigle Azur Maroc
14th April 1951
Transfered to Air Atlas
June 1957
Transfered to Royal Air Maroc as CN-CCL
April 1968
Sold to Moroccan AF as 20669 with call sign CN-ALM
April 1978
Registered N9842A

Registered N54607 to Visionair International
Transfered to Keenair at Liverpool

Registered G-BPMP to Cherkley Aviation Limited at Coventry, It was owned by Lord Beaverbrook from around 1989 - 1991.
Unfortunately the Gulf War meant that Kuwait Oil (who were sponsoring the restoration project) had its assets frozen and therefore money dried up.
22nd December 1992
The aircraft and a very large number of spares were "acquired" by Air Atlantique However, serious corrosion was discovered,
so they ended up reducing it to spares with the wings goin to the US
7th April 1995
The aircraft was then broken up by Parkhouse Aviation, The nose section was retained
18th April 1995
The aircraft was officially declared wfu
November 1997
Nose sold to Luchtvaart Hobby Shop in Aalmeerderbrug Netherlands
